These terms govern your use of book.pianospeed.com and any piano collection, delivery, moving or storage booking you make with us. Please read them before you book. When you complete a booking and pay, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
This service is operated by PianoSpeed London Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered and business address at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean PianoSpeed London Limited, and "you" means the person making the booking.
2. The services we provide
We provide piano collection, delivery, moving and storage. This covers the transport of upright, grand and digital pianos across the GB mainland, and storage of pianos where arranged. We operate a one-day-per-postcode schedule, so the collection day is set by the pickup postcode area and the delivery day by the delivery postcode area. Where both ends share the same postcode area, we collect and deliver on the same day.
Some postcode areas and some types of access are not available through the online booking flow. Where that is the case, contact us by email for a manual quote.
3. Booking and payment
You book by entering your route, piano details, dates and contact details, then paying online. Payment is taken by card through Stripe, our payment processor. Your booking is confirmed once payment has cleared. We do not see or store your full card number.
The price shown to you before payment is the price for the booking. It is calculated from the details you enter, which include the piano weight, the distance, the declared value for insurance, the number of steps at each end, and whether you choose an off-day move. An off-day move, which is a move on a day that does not match your postcode area's regular day, carries a surcharge of 1.5 times the full price. The minimum job price is £125.
4. What is included
Your price includes a professional crew, the equipment needed for a standard move, careful handling and protection of the piano in transit, and insurance cover for the move based on the value you declare at booking. The day before each visit we contact you with a 3-hour target time slot. Tuning after the move is not included.
5. Your responsibilities
To let us carry out the move safely and on time, you agree to:
- Give accurate and complete details at booking, including the piano type and weight, the declared value, the full pickup and delivery addresses, and the number of steps at each end.
- Tell us at booking about anything that affects access, such as narrow doorways, tight corners, lifts, parking restrictions, or a move that needs a hoist or removal through a window.
- Make sure there is safe and lawful access at both ends on the booked day, including any parking or permits needed for our vehicle.
- Be available, or have someone available on your behalf, to give access and receive the piano at the times we agree.
If the details you give are wrong or incomplete, or if access on the day is not as described, the move may take longer, may need to be rearranged, or may not be possible. Extra costs caused by inaccurate details or access problems found on the day may be charged to you. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
6. Care of your piano and liability
We handle every piano with care, using trained crew and proper protective equipment, and the move is insured to the value you declare at booking. It is important that the declared value is accurate, because cover is based on it. If you under-declare the value, any settlement may be limited to the declared amount.
We are responsible for loss or damage that is caused by our negligence while the piano is in our care. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is caused by inaccurate information you have given us, by pre-existing faults or weaknesses in the piano, by normal changes a piano shows after being moved such as the need for tuning, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
7. Cancellations, changes and refunds
Cancellations, reschedules and refunds are covered in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Your privacy
How we collect and use your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the version published on this page on the date you book. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when this page was last changed.
10. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
